Aston Martin V8 Vantage S

Dynamic revisions are central to the Vantage S, with a quickened steering rack ratio of 15:1 compared to 17:1 on the standard car and a larger diameter front brake disc with new six-piston front brake calipers. New springs and dampers, and wider rear wheels also contribute to chassis revisions. A new dynamic stability control (DSC) system specifically tuned to the Vantage S along with a new brake module providing features such as Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) which provides assistance in emergency braking situations, and Hill Start Assist (HSA). Bespoke tyres have been developed with Bridgestone to optimise road holding enhancing dynamic feel.
At the core of the Vantage S is the new seven speed SportshiftTM II automated manual transmission, offered as standard and delivers exceedingly rapid gear changes, twenty per cent quicker than SportshiftTM. The extra gear permits shorter well-spaced ratios taking advantage of the optimum torque, which combined with a shorter final drive ratio of 4.182:1 delivers quicker acceleration and an enhanced sporting feel. The inherent benefits of a single clutch system reduces complexity and significant weight over a dual clutch solution. SportshiftTM II allows the driver to take an increased level of control, modulating the throttle pedal to achieve the desired type of gear change. In addition, the Vantage S features a ‘Sport' button which quickens the gear changes and gives the driver a more aggressive throttle response while also opening the exhaust bypass valves across most of the engine speed range perfectly characterising the "S" variant. As with every Aston Martin, the Vantage S benefits from its own unique sound with a new exhaust muffler and bypass valve map, creating a very distinctive and highly vocal exhaust note. The Vantage S is instantly recognisable as a true Aston Martin, characterised by its purposeful stance conveying its agility and performance capability. From the front, a new lower front bumper finished in perfectly-aligned carbon fibre houses a larger air intake feeding the engine and front brakes. The splitter combined with the extended deck lid ‘flip' work in harmony to provide increased down force at speed. New 19 inch ‘V' spoke wheel styles are available as standard, while an optional 10-spoke lightweight forged wheel option, reduces unsprung mass further. A new rear bumper and side sills optically widen the car.Bridging the gap between road car and race car, the Vantage S is heavily influenced by the 2011 Vantage GT4 race car. The GT4 takes advantage of the Vantage's immensely rigid bonded aluminium chassis, providing the ideal platform for a race car. Minor racing safety modifications including an FIA approved roll cage and racing ‘bag' petrol tank along with weight saving measures are made to the standard road car to convert it into a class winning race car. In 2010, it won its class at the Dubai 24 Hours following this up with further endurance race wins at the Nurburgring 24 Hours, Silverstone 24 Hours and Spa 24 Hours. It also won its first major international championship victory in the European GT4 Cup.

It goes without saying that such a sonorous name is only suitable for an absolutely high-quality programme. Already the Bugatti Veyron serial edition sets standards in terms of price, maximum speed and engine power and leaves its competitors far behind when a contender for the super sports car is to be crowned. Whoever now thinks that everything possible has been achieved, can be proved wrong. Already visually, the changes clearly show.
The front part gets a comprehensive face-lift including modified wings, a shorter hood and a striking front apron. The LED daytime running lights integrated in the front mount and the implemented stylised "V" as a special tribute to the name "Vincero" draw even more attention to the car. The newly developed side skirts are the visual and aerodynamic connection between the axles. Larger air outlets at the sides and at the back render optimal engine cooling and in combination with the new diffuser, they underline the powerful car design. Mansory manufactures nearly all auto body parts from ultra-light and high-strength carbon. The applied hardening technique with strong pressure and high temperatures in the autoclave thereby enormously improve the material quality. In order to perfect the entire visual appearance, Mansory devised new, striking fully-forged turbine-design wheels for the Linea Vincero in serial dimensions. Also, the power engine is refined by Mansory. Technical innovation is combined with technical expertise and thereby, an increased cooling air supply and optimised exhaust system produce an unbelievable 1109 hp and 1310 Nm. The interior is exclusive and yet functional. Also here, Mansory understands how luxury and technology can be harmonically combined. When traditional craftsmanship, selected materials and stylish design merge, the result is an interior of automobile excellence. This mainly shows by the LED lights of the new Ambiente-Illumination-System which are fitted in the seats, door linings and the dashboard. The entire passenger compartment glows in a soft light which does not only render a comfortable feeling, but also emphasises the high-quality carbon applications and the especially grained leather. The ergonomically designed airbag steering wheel is both sportive and particularly pliable and is equipped with rocker switches. The Mansory individualisation programme for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is offered in a limited edition via the Middle East partner "Prestige Cars Abu Dhabi".The Mansory Cooperation GmbH solely offers proprietary developed modification accessories under the name LINEA Vincero. They do not market entire automobiles and also do not sell any such vehicles.End of Mansory LINEA Vincero Bugatti Veyron 16.4 review.

Aventador

The story
Over the last weeks several images of the new Lamborghini flagship have surfaced on the internet, most of them still with some kind of camouflage on the car, but recently a magazine published the first shots of a red Aventador ahead of the official unveiling at the Geneva Auto Show.
But now things get serious … with work at the Geneva Auto Show underway for the grand press conference on Tuesday, March 1st 2011 somebody was able to get away with photographing a grey LP700-4 on the stand … without any more covers, we can see the actual car three days too early.
This one is a grey finished model with light wheels, while the magazine car was red with black wheels, the grilles and rubber parts are covered with protective tape on these shots because the car still needs to be fully detailed before we will be able to see it in a few days … in the background we can discover a white car by the way … so there will be at least two cars on display on the ground floor, probably a third will be shown on the first floor, only open on invitation or to VIP.
This is the first time a brand new Lamborghini could be photographed on the stand ahead of the official introduction, and it is an important model this time, the long awaited successor to the by now legendary Murciélago. The Aventador has some serious promised to upkeep, with its carbon fiber monocoque cell and race inspired suspension setup, this new V12 is a serious step ahead in the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA.
More detailed, high resolution images of the cars on the Lamborghini stand in Geneva will be available in a few days, for now we’ll have to make do with this shots.

Gallardo Spider

Less Weight, More Fascination
With the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, Lamborghini is setting a new benchmark in the most fascinating automobile segment of all - the open-top super sports car. As "Performante", the Gallardo Spyder is even lighter thanks to CFRP technology, even more agile and even more dynamic. The new Spyder Performante is an automotive high-performance athlete that combines sheer sporting excellence and extreme performance with that unique open-air feeling that only a soft-top spanning the ten-cylinder power unit can offer. Ultimately, every spin in the Spyder Performante is like a journey into the eye of the storm.

Carbon fiber rear view mirrors, special seats and an upholstery in sporty, black alcantara, the Spyder Performante  A close look at the front of the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, note the scripting on the spoiler.  Just in case you might not remember the special name of this specific Gallardo Spyder ... it's Performante.  The seats give massive support in those fast curves, upholstered in alcantara and with the crest on the head rest.
The Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder is already at the peak of its game, bearing testament to the lightweight engineering approach pursued by the Lamborghini brand. Nevertheless, the engineers in Sant'Agata Bolognese managed to reduce the weight of the new Spyder Performante by a further 65 kilograms (143 lbs). The open super sports car tips the scales with a dry weight of no more than 1.485 kilograms (3.274 lbs) - a new best for that highly exclusive market segment occupied by Lamborghini.
Just like its "brother", the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, the light weight of the Spyder Performante is due in large part to exterior and interior components made from carbon-fiber. These carbon-composite materials are perfectly suited to super sports cars because they combine reduced weight with improved technical characteristics. Performance is optimized as a result of lower weight, while CO2 emissions are reduced. Lamborghini has been leading the industry for 30 years in the application of CFRP, and now the brand is expanding that lead even further.
The V10 power unit with a displacement of 5.2 liters generates 419 kW (570 hp) in the Spyder Performante and guarantees breathtaking performance - it catapults the open-top LP 570-4 from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a mere 3.9 seconds and keeps on going to a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph). The engine with "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" gasoline direct injection boasts extremely impressive pulling power and a virtually endless rev range that delivers a constant supply of spine-tingling acoustics.
The Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante is an uncompromising driving machine. Its chassis, with its mighty brakes, is a work of great precision, while the new 19-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa sports tires are extremely lightweight. The LP 570-4 Performante brings a new meaning to the term "Spyder".
Design and aerodynamics
The beauty of power
The elegance of every Lamborghini rests on its extreme power and precise function. The design of the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, too, concentrates on the sheer essence of the design language - the bodyshell is pure sculpture and free of superfluous decoration. Its profile follows the contours of a dynamic wedge measuring 4.39 meters long, 1.90 meters wide, but only 1.18 meters high. Open or closed, the top of the Spyder Performante can handle the very highest speeds.
From the very first glance, the Spyder Performante is clearly recognizable as the open-top counterpart to the highly acclaimed and successful Gallardo Superleggera. The exterior modifications are all directed at increasing the aerodynamic effect in comparison to the Gallardo Spyder. Working closely with wind tunnel experts, designers from Lamborghini's Centro Stile remodeled the front bumper - three-dimensional, deeply recessed elements form trapezoidal frames for the large air intakes. Together with the V-shaped, sharply defined nose and the LED daytime running lights, the black elements give the front end a razor-sharp look. The design also optimizes the supply of cooling air and improves the downforce on the front axle.
Modifications to the fully-covered underbody, new sill elements and a redesigned diffuser incorporating four large tailpipes also help to achieve better aerodynamic results. A large optional rear spoiler is also available for the Spyder Performante.
The bodyshell
Intelligent lightweight engineering with Carbon Fiber
Its bodyshell is made from aluminum, with cast node elements and extruded profile forming an extremely stiff framework into which the aluminum panels are integrated. The spaceframe structure is extremely impact-resistant and forms the basis for the super sports car’s precise handling.
Against this background, the task of reducing weight by a further 65 kilograms (143 lbs) compared to the Gallardo Spyder presented a huge challenge to the engineers. The Lamborghini experts handled the task as they usually do - with hi-tech competence and aesthetic flair. With its minimal weight and extremely high stiffness, carbon-fiber is the ideal material for a super sports car. The large panel covering the soft-top, engine and transmission is a complex and extremely high-quality carbon fiber component. Engineers also selected carbon-fiber for the rear spoiler, sills, diffuser, parts of the underbody paneling and the fine exterior mirror casings.
Carbon-fiber materials in the interior
Altogether, carbon-fiber components make up around 40% of the 65 kilograms saved. In the interior, too, engineers aimed to reduce weight as much as possible. The center tunnel cover, the door panels and the surround of the e-gear automated manual transmission lever are made from carbonfiber. The high-end material is also used for the sports seats' shells, where they make a significant contribution to overall weight reduction.
Just like the rest of the cockpit, the sports seats are clad in lightweight Alcantara instead of leather. However, weight reduction at Lamborghini certainly does not mean sacrifice - the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante still comes with air conditioning and electric windows as standard.
The extent to which Lamborghini values the very highest level of meticulous craftsmanship is immediately evident in the interior of the Spyder Performante. All parts are perfectly designed and assembled down to the very last detail; high-quality materials indulge the senses. The interior retains a sporty black finish in Alcantara. As contrasting colors for seat stitching, customers can choose from green, yellow, orange and two shades of gray. They match exterior paint finishes in Giallo Midas, Arancio Borealis, Grigio Telesto, Nero Noctis and Bianco Monocerus.

GALARDO LIMITED EDITION

These ten cars have been specially commissioned by the Lamborghini factory to be sold on the Singapore market only, available in either black or white these Gallardo cars distinct themselves from the regular LP570-4 Superleggera by using red stripes on the side and different wheels, in fact the same wheels as on the Bicolore model. There is also a small plaque on the side of the car with a Merlion logo stating this to be the Singapore Limited Edition.
In the end it took three months to finalize this concept, Mr Melvin Goh, managing director of Lamborghini Singapore negotiated directly with the factory in Sant’Agata … in mid February 2011 a special gala dinner was held in the well-known Mandarin Oriental in Singapore during which the keys to the first two cars in this series were given to their new, fortunate owners.
Apparently these cars look like an evolution of the LP570-4 Superleggera, however their specifications show a Max power of 550 hp at 8000 rpm which could mean these are actually LP550-2 models with the front spoiler, side skirts and small rear wing of the Superleggera mounted.
However we received no information that these are rear wheel drive only, still they reach a top speed of 320 Km/h and reach 100 Km/h from standstill in a mere 3.9 seconds … figures that leave no doubt, these Gallardo Singapore Limited Edition are still true blooded Raging Bulls.
